General Announcements

Parish to host celebration for Father Boniface Hardin

Benedictine Father Boniface Hardin will celebrate the 50th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood on June 7 with a 3 p.m. Mass at Holy Angels Church, 740 W. 28th St., in Indianapolis.

The celebration will continue with dinner at Waldon Hall at the parish.

A monk of Saint Meinrad Archabbey in St. Meinrad and the retired founding president of Martin University in Indianapolis, Father Boniface served as the associate pastor of Holy Angels Parish from 1965-69.

While at Holy Angels, he emerged as a community leader and strong advocate of the African-American community.
